The fates are telling me to not try posting new stories today. My cable Internet connection is down. My DSL connection isn’t connecting. My WiFi laptop is working so slowly that it’s impossible to post.
I can handle comments through my iPhone—and will!—but that device just isn’t cut out to lengthy writing.
With luck, systems will be up tomorrow. Til then…

I guess it’s hard to be off-topic when there’s no topic!
Not quite my music style, White Stripes… Not bad, but I’m unmoved.

In the past 4 days I was not able to connect (although my connection was working….), that’s very kind of you to have stopped posting, so I don’t need to catch up;
and you know what ? I was having a Saudi guest, here in Brittany ! Wind, rain , cold, luckily traditional music as well to warm him up ! A lot of nice memories for him to bring back home.

Happy I could accommodate your emergency!
My father’s family traces back to Brittany, several centuries ago. Something must of stuck, though, as I’m very interested in the music of the region, Bombarde music in particular!

Very nice, Mr. Burgess. Now I know how you remain so patient with commenters here! I should probably switch music preferences to calm down a little.
Thanks for that.
December:15:2009 - 13:13
That’s one of my favorite pieces of music. I have it in, probably, two dozen different versions, variations, and media.
December:15:2009 - 13:35
John, glad to see that you’re part of our “Breton” family; actually my wife plays the bombarde, that’s why we took our Saudi guest to a concert of bagadou (band of bombardes, bagpipes and drums); he was amazed !
Thanks for the Concerto which is also one of my favorites; not a bad romance, Sparky says ? It’s wonderful, so sweet ! I’m sure I can send you a version you don’t have !
December:15:2009 - 16:51
New versions are always welcome! I certainly don’t have a version played on binou and bombarde!
