Dumping sewage water in this lake needs first to stop. Sewage Treatment plants need to be constructed, with terttiery treatment levels (something like MBR), and then clean water either pumped safely to sea, or even further utilized for irrigation.
Sewage netwok is also another obstacle. They need time to complete. 
Its time now not to allow any new developments start construction till all infrastructure works are completed. Unfortunatly, we do it the other way around</description>

		<description>I find it interesting in the first article that the issue of ground water and soil contamination was raised. The lake may be at least partly out of sight and olfactory range but it can still be doing long term damage without bursting its banks. Similarly, a mosquito breeding ground is usually inadvisable. Dengue fever was specifically mentioned by other mosquito born illnesses or secondary infections from bites may take their toll.

I do hope that those with the required expertise are consulted and their recommendations implemented with sufficient oversight to minimize risks and improve the life of all Jeddawis.</description>
