Young Saudi men, it appears, have misheard the Jefferson Airplane’s 1967 song “White Rabbit” and are becoming addicted to the erectile dysfunction drug Viagra[TM]! So reports the UAE’s Gulf News. It has reached a point that some men are using the drug on their wedding nights!!??

It’s generally acknowledged that the brain is the largest and most powerful sex organ in the human body. It’s utterly clear that these young Saudis are allowing that organ to dominate what should be a natural part of life. Luckily, at least some are seeking psychological help.

Young Saudi men go wild over notorious blue pill
Abdul Rahman Shaheen

Riyadh: The kingdom has been gripped with a craze for erectile-dysfunction medications by young men – an occurrence which has many worried.

A large number of married Saudi youths are flocking to pharmacies to take hold of Viagra – “the little blue pill” – or any other stimulants that will give them more satisfaction.

The catchy words and obscene images that appear on online advertisements of these medications are another factor luring youth into buying packets of these stimulants.

According to Saudi doctors, this phenomenon reflects the spread of a negative sexual culture among the younger generation in the Kingdom.

If you need Viagra on your wedding night, it’s all downhill from there.

    That was funny!!
I am a Saudi male, most and almost of the people that i know or talk to don’t use Viagra nor know how it looks like ?
May be that journalist didn’t do his suvery on Saudi men although he was in Saudi !. Most of the Saudi men are shy and i doubt where he got his info from ?

In Saudi arabis you have to have a doctor order if you want to buy Viagra or a doctor clearance if you want to buy Viagra.

I lived in both Saudi and the U.S and in the U.S i have seen Viagra while when i was in Saudi i couldn’t see it. Actually, In U.S when I talk to my friends about sex in genera and how active they are ,I saw the reason why pharmacy companies are calling on their mobiles almost everyday trying to sell them Viagra and similar brands !!
Saudis stands up one of the most five people who are ready to make it everyday. They can handle four at a time !
we didn’t need to invent Viagra to help us. see who had was and is suffering and needed that idea so bad ?

    cya man peace

I’m pretty sure the Saudis interviewed were in Saudi Arabia, so at least some Saudis aren’t having trouble getting their hands on it!

One of the complaints I’ve heard Saudis make about pharmacies is that while regulation might require a prescription, it’s not too difficult to find a shop where the regulation is ignored.

I never even look. If I need something requiring a perscription I go to the first pharmacy I see and ask for it (usually antibiotics on a weekend). Never a problem.

There have also been articles mentioning men giving to their wives/brides. I think they don’t really understand it’s purpose.

I had a long conversation with a very senior person in the pharma industry in Saudi (which is where I live) recently.

He said that Saudi was one of the biggest markets in the world (per capita) for Viagra, Cyalis and other treatments for erectile dysfunction.

I’m sure there are a lot of men using it “recreationally”, however this industry rep said that one of the reasons it was widely used was because there was an incredibly high level of diabetes amongst Saudi men and that erectile dysfunction was one of the symptoms.
