Asharq Alawsat publishes two very interesting interview. One is with Sheikh Yousuf Al-Qaradawi, who recently created a ruckus with his comments about Shi’a expansion and attempts to ‘convert’ Muslims from Sunni Islam to Shi’a Islam. The interview goes right to the issues.

The second is with the Saudi Grand Mufti, Sheikh Abdulaziz Al al-Sheikh. He is asked about Al-Qaeda and the waning support it is receiving in the Muslim world. He also talks about the use of the word ‘Wahhabi’ to denigrate Saudi Salafism and the impropriety of many of the fatwas being propagated by competition between satellite TV channels.
