I don’t know why there is always a battle to defeat anything. I can understand how and why someone like Ms Hirsi would become a bitter atheist or why someon like Ms Manji would become a lesbian. However, I think that there are a lot of religions and they are all thriving and not one of them has to be defeated in order for something to happen! ! !

Can’t Islam and Muslims exist and persist and accept the value system of secular humanism? I believe it can….and psychologically saying that in order to do so you must lose your faith only makes people fearful and cling stronger to their faith.
