I came across a Flikr set of snapshots of Saudi Arabia mostly taken by a Dutchman who worked in the country in the early 1980s. The captions are a little strange, when they exist at all, but the photos do give a good idea of the variety of views in the Kingdom, from the Eastern Province, through the Asir and Najran, and up to Jeddah, Mecca, and Medinah and points north.

If you have a few minutes to kill, this is an interesting place to do it!
