Ambassador Al-Jubeir presents his credentials to the State Department

Saudi Ambassador to the United States Adel A. Al-Jubeir presented a copy of his credentials to Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte at the State Department in Washington today.

Al-Jubeir was appointed to the post by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz on January 29, 2007. He succeeds Prince Turki Al-Faisal, who resigned last year for personal reasons.

In presenting his credentials to State Department, Adel Al-Jubeir formally becomes the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United States.
